All About Garage Flooring 
Flooring may be the biggest decision you make about your garage.
This is what people will see every day, walk on every day and this is what you will have to keep clean every day. 

The two biggest issues about your garage floor are appearance and maintenance.
Its quite likely you are going top spend more money on your floor than any other single item in your garage.
You need to carefully consider all your options.

This is what all our research showed us

• Concrete; left alone it stains, looks unsightly & is dusty – not ideal for collectors cars, enthusiasts workshops or attached garages.
• Sealed concrete – Sealer helps keep some dust down but still looks the floor looks ugly & will stain.
  Tiles – Plastic race tiles look good but Race teams don’t use them in their garages only at the track Why?  Besides being very expensive they can clatter and have to be taken up to clean underneath regularly. You have better things to do that that. 
• Vinyl matting.  Look good for a while but has seams, can move – not permanent. Soft & mark (eg bike kickstands) Can’t easily repair.
  Adhesive Vinyl Tiles. Can lift especially if the floor gets damp..
• Carpet.  Looks good for awhile but gets matted & dirty. Eventually have to replace the whole floor.

All of the above are not seameless in being able to wrap up the walls so you can hose, mop, squeege the garage out.

• Seamless epoxy type flooring. Cheap epoxies look good for a while but when they eventually peal (& they will) they look unsightly; meaning you have to re-do your garage again. Epoxies are  Not UV stable – they will yellow in sunlight.
• Top Quality epoxies & Urethanes. Much better, can be UV stable but have to be installed by professionals – May need up to 5 coats, sanding the vinyl flake layer & takes many days to put down.
• Roll on Rock – A Permanent solution. Seals the concrete & edge of the walls. Will not pick up or yellow.

STEP ONE: Chose a base Color

This Roll on Rock base coat primes & seals in one application.  It also forms the vinyl chip holding surface.  It goes on easily, has good potlife, is water based, so not a solvent, has very high solids, is coloured, wicks into the concrete well, and will not bubble.  No other systems can claim this?
